![]() ![]() ![]() Also, I killed 78 badass enemies while I wasn't wearing the artifact and none of them made an eridium explosion. The margin of error for a 95% confidence interval was 2% so this data doesn't rule the hypothesis out. After analysis, the percentage of time that the badasses would create an eridium explosion was 5.7%. I recorded the result of killing over 500 badasses with the artifact equipped. There were consistently hidden eridium piles on every single run I did, so we can say definitively that this claim is incorrect. (I'm afraid that this data didn't make it onto the final spreadsheet) With this data, it seems within the realm of possibility that this claim is correct, but I don't think I have enough data to say definitively whether or not this is true. That's 36% of the piles that were hidden. (According to my testing it seems to roughly double the amount you get from breaking the piles)ĭuring my testing, I tracked the number of hidden piles vs the number of visible piles and in the time that I found 36 hidden piles, I found 50 visible ones. However, if you DO want extra eridium from breaking eridium piles, equipping a melee artifact like the Commander Planetoid or a Stone artifact will work. ![]() I feel that I can say confidently that is DOES NOT give extra eridium. This was strong evidence against the claim that the artifact gives you +100% eridium. Also, when breaking open anointed enemies they dropped on average about 7 eridium each time whether or not the artifact was equipped. I found that when breaking eridium piles with or without the mysterious artifact equipped, each pile provides on average about 12.5 eridium. Here's a spreadsheet with some of the data I collected: Some of these claims seemed dubious to me so I set out on a mission to test what this thing actually does. +100% to number of eridium piles (in the form of extra hidden piles)ĥ% chance for special hidden eridium piles to spawnĥ% chance for badasses to make eridium explosions when they die Some claims that I heard were as follows: So upon receiving the Mysterious Artifact, I did some googling to see if anybody had figured out what it does. ![]()
